Family Favorite: Van Saun Park
Van Saun County Park in Paramus, New Jersey, is a cherished 130-acre haven perfect for families, boasting the Bergen County Zoo with its diverse animals, the beloved train, expansive playgrounds, pony rides, a carousel, picnic spots, and seasonal attractions like the EGG-Stravaganza Easter Egg Hunt and Let It Glow: A Holiday Lantern Spectacular, among others!
It holds special nostalgia for me as a childhood favorite—especially those magical train rides around the park that thrilled me then, just as they delight my son now on our visits.
The carousel is another hit for kids, with its spins on vibrant animals keeping even the youngest riders beaming.
Upcoming seasonal fun includes the EGG-Stravaganza egg hunt on March 28, 2026, with hourly sessions starting at 11am ($6 tickets for ages 2+), rain date April 4.
